Maple Brown Sugar Baby Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs baby carrots
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons butter (no subs!)
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  • 1 Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer until carrots are crisp-tender (about 5-8 minutes).
  • 2 Uncover and cook until juices are reduced (about 5 minutes).
  • 3 Season with salt and pepper.
