Perky Peameal Bacon Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices peameal bacon
  • 2 crusty bread rolls, sliced
  • 2 -3 tablespoons butter or 2 -3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • mayonnaise
  • mustard
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  • 1 Heat your pan to medium.
  • 2 Melt a little butter or margarine.
  • 3 Cook the peameal bacon until both sides are done, about 5 - 6 minutes.
  • 4 Turn on oven broiler.
  • 5 Mix 2-3 tbsp butter or margarine with 1/2 tbsp garlic powder (adjust to your taste--we like lots of garlic flavour).
  • 6 Spread garlic mixture on sliced buns.
  • 7 Broil the buns until golden brown.
  • 8 Put buns on a plate and top with the bacon, sliced tomato, mayo, mustard, salt and pepper to taste.
  • 9 Yum !
