Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups water
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- 1 In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
- 2 Stir in the water, tomatoes, rice, peas and soup mix.
- 3 Bring to a boil.
- 4 Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
- 5 Sprinkle with cheese.
