Ingredients
- 3 lbs sour cherries (about 4 cups)
- 7 cups sugar
- 6 ounces liquid fruit pectin
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
Directions
- 1 Wash, stem, and pit cherries.
- 2 Chop them small pieces.
- 3 Put fruit and sugar in a large saucepan.
- 4 Boil hard for 1 minute.
- 5 Remove from heat and stir in liquid pectin.
- 6 Skin 5 minutes.Add almond extract,.
- 7 Put in jars and seal with hot lids.
- 8 I sometime do a 5 minute hot bath, but not everytime.
