Brownie Cookie Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • 1 Melt 1/2 cup morsels and butter over hot (not boiling) water, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • 2 Combine flour baking powder; set aside.
  • 3 Beat egg and sugar in large mixer bowl at high speed, about 3 minutes or until mixture is thick.
  • 4 Stir in vanilla and melted chocolate mixture.
  • 5 Gradually blend in flour mixture.
  • 6 Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • 7 Drop by level tablespoons onto greased baking sheets.
  • 8 Bake in preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 8 to 15 minutes or until cookies are puffed and tops are cracked and moist (cookies will look slightly underbaked).
  • 9 Baking time will depend on how small or big you make the cookies.
  • 10 Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • 11 Remove from baking sheets.
  • 12 Cool on wire racks.
