Oil and Vinegar Dressing

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, halved
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- mixed salad green
- shredded red cabbage
Directions
- 1 In a 1-quart jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the first five ingredients.
- 2 Add water, vinegar and garlic; shake until sugar is dissolved.
- 3 Add oil; shake well.
- 4 Store in the refrigerator.
- 5 Just before serving, remove garlic from the dressing. Drizzle over salad greens and red cabbage.
