Fried Leeks (Garnish)

  • vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • 2 large leeks (All of the white part and 1-inch of the green, cleaned and julienned)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • fine sea salt


  • 1 In a medium sauce pot heat oil to 350 degrees F. Sift cornstarch and flour together.
  • 2 Dust leeks in flour/cornstarch and fry until golden brown, about 30 seconds. Drain on a paper towel, season with sea salt.
